What this does

Once connected, any estimate you build in ChemCalc can be sent to a Trello card with one click. The card will include the client name, vessel info, scope of work, task hours, grand total, and a direct link back to the estimate.

What you will need

• A Trello account — free at trello.com
• A Trello board with at least one list already set up (e.g., "New Estimates" or "Leads")
• A ChemCalc Pro account

Step 1 — Get your Trello API Key

1. Go to trello.com/power-ups/admin
2. Click New Power-Up in the top right corner
3. Fill in any name (e.g., "ChemCalc"), select your workspace, and click Create
4. On the next screen, click API Key in the left sidebar
5. Your API Key will be displayed at the top of the page — copy it and keep this tab open

Your API Key is not a password, but treat it like one. Do not share it publicly.

Step 2 — Open My Business Info in ChemCalc

1. Log in to your ChemCalc account at chemcalc.co/estimate.html
2. Click My Business Info at the top of the page
3. Scroll down to the Trello Integration section

Step 3 — Enter your API Key and Authorize

1. Paste your API Key into the Trello API Key field
2. Click Authorize Trello
3. A Trello popup will open asking you to confirm access — click Allow
4. The popup will close automatically and ChemCalc will confirm the connection

If the popup does not open, check that your browser allows popups for chemcalc.co.

Step 4 — Select your Board and List

1. Once authorized, a Board dropdown will appear
2. Select the Trello board you want estimates sent to
3. A List dropdown will appear — select the list within that board
4. Click Save Business Info

Step 5 — Send an Estimate to Trello

1. Build your estimate as normal
2. Click the Add to Trello button
3. ChemCalc will create a Trello card containing the client info, vessel, scope of work, task hours, and a direct link back to the estimate

Troubleshooting

Problem	Fix
Popup does not open	Allow popups for chemcalc.co in your browser settings
"Could not load boards" error	Your API Key may be incorrect — double-check Step 1
Board dropdown is empty	Make sure you have at least one open board in your Trello account
Card was not created	Confirm your list is selected and click Save Business Info before trying again
Token expired	Click Authorize Trello again to get a fresh token
